The Sankofa Impact team is recruiting for our next Pilgrimage to the South. We are looking for everyday people willing to engage in self-reflection, have courageous conversations in a diverse community, and immerse themselves in place-based learning.

We begin our Pilgrimage to the South with learning and community building in Seattle over four weeks of prep sessions. Then we embark to the American South, where we visit key locations in the Black-American freedom struggle and spend time with foot soldiers who lived history then and leaders making history today. Finally, we host a post-travel session that enriches and supports the work of reflection and integration.

Are you ready to get on the bus? Fill out the Pilgrimage Portal interest form and share it with anyone who may also be interested in joining this transformative, joyful, powerful journey.

On the last day of Black History Month may we all be reminded to tell the unvarnished truth about our shared history, create spaces for that truth, and uplift Black stories throughout the entire year.
