Sankofa Impact brings people together for place-based learning that confronts our history of racism, uplifts stories of resistance, and celebrates culture.
Our organization offers immersive experiences and place-based programs intended to increase awareness of events that have shaped and disrupted systems of racism in the United States. The Pilgrimage to the South is our signature journey through the Black-American freedom struggle in the American South. Our Pilgrimage-in-Place sessions lead participants in powerful place-based workshops, both in person and on Zoom.
Sankofa Impact programs are designed to inspire action through community building, impactful experiences, and courageous conversations.
We envision a community that holds a common memory grounded in unvarnished truth leading to our collective liberation.
