Last night at our open house we unveiled the newest addition to our office space, an original piece of art depicting our guiding figure and everyday activist, Fannie Lou Hamer. This work was created by local artist, Myron Curry.
We are proud to share this beautiful mural with our community today on what would have been Fannie Lou Hamer’s 106th birthday. On her birthday and all days, may we remember the words of Fannie Lou Hamer, “nobody’s free until everybody’s free.” These words guide our work as we strive together toward our collective liberation.
